Patient Testimonials

Great staff! Saw me same day and got my appointment done quickly. Upfront about costs and options. Dr. Bobby Kim and everyone else I interacted with was respectful and helpful. No judgement just treatment. Really appreciate the good work. Thanks again

had such an amazing experience with Dr. Brett Mandich! From the moment I met him, he made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. He was extremely friendly, welcoming, professional, and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit. Going to the dentist can definitely be nerve-racking, but Dr. Mandich made the entire experience so much easier. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients, and that really stood out to me. I’m so glad I found him and can confidently say Dr. Mandich will be my new dentist going forward. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist who is skilled, kind, and truly makes you feel comfortable. 10/10 experience!

I really enjoyed my experience here! They listened to my concerns, and fixed the issues! Rachel did my cleaning, she was very professional and knowledgeable. I liked chatting with her a lot. Mahalo

This clinic reflects professionalism and their employees make you feel at ease the minute you walk in. The clinic is beautiful and nicely decorated. I am glad i discovered Ala moana dental and their staff.

Alison Huh is phenomenal. She is careful, kind, knowledgable, professional and great to have as my dentist. She also serves the rest of my family. We know we are always in good hands with Dr. Huh.

Great location! Walking distance if you live in the Ala Moana area/close to bus stop if you want to take the bus and not worry about traffic or parking. Very Friendly staff; check in was prompt. Office was clean and decorated lovely//up to date. Xrays and cleaning were both pleasant experiences. High tech equipment!

Staff is friendly and service is GREAT!

The team was efficient without ever making me feel rushed, and the care I received was excellent. I usually get pretty anxious about dental visits, but they put me at ease by being friendly and welcoming. They made the whole experience so much easier than I expected. Highly recommend!

The staff were kind, attentive, and caring, and I was very satisfied with the treatment I received.

The best cleaning experience ever had. 👍

This place was amazing! I am from Canada and woke up with a very painful tooth ache. The staff was top notch and extremely friendly and helpful! They took me off the street and had me in a chair within 10 minutes. From there I had X-rays and was prescribed meds. I was back to my vacation before 10am, incredible! The price for a walk in at 7am to treatment and a solution was awesome! Highly recommend if you are on the brink of losing your holiday!

James the hygienist, professional and excellent care. Skilled with a heart. Highly recommended

One thing I noticed was they had a great leader! And great teammate

Awesome Service! Really appreciated everyone. I did a walk in and was seen within a matter of minutes. So grateful!

I don’t normally associate the word fun with going to the dentist. But today’s experience was in fact, fun. Broke a tooth out of the blue and Friend recommended. I go there. What a great recommendation. Everybody was so upbeat and fun and friendly. And took care of the issue quickly and professionally Mahalo to Doctor Huh And the entire team, you guys rock🤙🏽😁

Growing up I was always squeamish going to the dentist. I had my first appointment at Ala Moana Dental Care and loved every second of it. They exceeded my expectations in dental care.

I have been coming to your clinic, for several years. Dr. Gary is my trusted, ace dentist. Today, at my request, Rachel was my hygienist. She cleans my teeth like no other, in my opinion. I proudly recommend your clinic to anyone looking for first-rate dental care. Mahalo, Sharon 🌺 🌺 🌺

Good customer service and friendly staff, and they are open 7 days a week which is great for the working people that can’t get during the week days.

I had a great experience getting my wisdom tooth removed here. I was in quite a bit of pain the day before and needed to have it taken care of as soon as possible. They were the only office I could find that was able to see me on a Sunday of Labor Day weekend, which I really appreciated. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional. They walked me through the X-ray and examination, explained everything clearly, and made sure I was comfortable and prepared for the extraction. The doctor was excellent. He explained each step beforehand and made sure I wasn’t experiencing any pain throughout the procedure. The extraction was surprisingly quick and painless, taking only a couple of minutes. Overall, I’m very happy with my experience. The entire process was smooth and stress-free, and I would definitely recommend this office to anyone dealing with wisdom tooth pain, especially if they need to be seen quickly. -Nathaniel

Friendly staff and great service!

I have been going to Ala Moana Dental Care for my routine dental care for many years, and the staff have always been kind and helpful. Recently, I called with concerns about an intermittent toothache, and the front desk staff were able to get me an appointment for the following day. The team took radiographs, and the dentist took the time to reassure me that there was nothing to worry about for now and explained what the next steps would be if the pain recurs. I really appreciate the prompt care, reassurance, and kindness!

Fast Easy and Friendly. Great details on my problems.

I was able to make a same day appointment. Cracked crown was fabricated and installed same day. Outstanding!

5/5, easy to call and book an appointment, friendly staff. They were the only ones open on a holiday too!

Very friendly, quick to get me an appointment, and very helpful with my toothache. Thank you.

Same day appointment. Artistry work on cosmetic dental filling by Dr. Devereaux. All the dental assistants are so warm and nice - these women touched my heart. I can’t thank them enough!

My Hygienist Rachel did a great job, she is skilled at her craft! And gave me some good advice on teeth whitening as well! Thank you Rachel 🙏

I’ve been here a couple times; I recently had a cleaning & the dentists & hygienists were kind and quite experienced.

100% reliable Called in excruciating pain. They scheduled me within 2 hours. Everyone was very well informed. First Doc listened to my symptoms and concerns and took immediate action to stop the pain. Within 20 minutes thereafter, the world's fastest root canal specialist was taking care of me. They knew exactly what I needed and how to care for the work that was already done. Even offered a pro bono crown if my original crown didn't survive the root canal. Dr K professionally worked through the crown with world class precision. It was my first time there and he had less than 10 minutes of prep time. 30 mins after he was in the room, the root canal was complete, the second iteration was done, the buildup was done and I was out the door. I went from feeling like the world was going to end at 245pm to feeling safe and better by 6:15pm. Other dentists in Honolulu could benefit from coming to this place to learn how to triage, evaluate, and help patients get back to their day. Thanks to both Docs so much!

Dr. Mandich is the best for wisdom tooth’s removal! He walks you through every inch and he is so quick. 10/10

Dr. Ryan Chun is wonderful. He is so kind, gentle, and thorough. I really appreciate a more conservative approach to dental care, and that seems to come very naturally to him. He took his time with my filling and made sure everything was absolutely perfect before I left. Lori is my hygienist, and she is truly the best! She is incredibly thorough, and my teeth always feel amazing after she works her magic. I feel very lucky to have found such a great dental team and would highly recommend them.

Had a tooth cleaning and very happy that my teeth are clean and no cavities. All the staff treated me professionally and definitely will return again for my next six months appointment! I would like to thank Karen, hyginist who did the excellent cleaning, Dr. Chen who evaluated my tooth and Phoebe, for taking all the necessary X-rays for evaluation. In short I highly recommended these professionals in the Dental Office.

I am so happy I chose Ala Moana Dental. At first it looked like it might be a little pricey, but I went in and from day one I’ve gotten nothing but awesome service and great care at a low and reasonable cost. They are one of the only dentists I’ve seen, that are also open every single day and have amazing business hours. I highly recommend having you dental care done here.

all staff are friendly, and helpful

I walked 4.25 miles (no car, but really needed to get a checkup) to get there and you treated me graciously--got me water and Dr. Kim saw me right away. He was personable and caring assuring me that I had no cavities. I was surprised also to learn that as I grow older, my teeth move. That offered an explanation as to why I was having some difficulty with flossing. Shannon then cleaned my teeth and she was just as friendly. Of course I appreciate your hours of operation, but more so the human connection with modern dentistry. Thank you very much.

Great service with a smile.

Fantastic, worth every penny. Excellent hygienist, professional dentists. Hassle & pain-free.

Excellent service and friendly staff.

We have been coming here for the last 2 years and they have been so great and helpful and patient. Their hours are fantastic and so very easy to get an appt. All the dentists are very knowledgeable and the hygienists and staff are very sweet. We are moving off island and will miss them very much.

Karen is truly a star of teeth cleansing, every time I see her I love my teeth, so that's a total success !

Efficient, professional dental care and services. Very friendly and glad they have great working hours!

Great people work here🤙the docl that worked on me today was amaizng.... super nice n the girls are great

Rachel was very patient and super considerate. She reduced my anxiety 10 fold.

I highly recommend Ala Moana Dental Care. I've had two crowns done here and both experiences were excellent. The team is quick, highly responsive, and incredibly professional. What really impressed me was their same-day rush service. The entire process from start to finish was just about 4 hours. Very happy with the results.

Very accomodating, i should say it's an awesome experience. I am very satisfied with the services.🤩 i can't wait for my next appointment with them🙏 thank you so much

Customer Service! Convenient for people that can't find the time during the work week to find a dentist. I got to the building around 5:50 on a Saturday morning, the gate to the parking garage was closed, called the office and they came out to scan their key fob to let me in. I waited in the waiting room for about 5 minutes before being called in. I was in and out, felt like a Nascar pit stop, Xray, Dentist check up, cleaning, then out the door. Friendly staff, and did I mention Great Customer Service? I tell ALL my friends and family. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I had a great experience here! The ladies at the front desk were so nice and friendly, they made my first time checking in super easy. The guy who took the pictures of my teeth was really welcoming as well. Marilyn did my teeth cleaning and I loved her! She taught me about what she was doing with my teeth and told me stories while she worked. The entire staff did a really good job at making me feel welcomed there. I used to hate going to my old dentist office, but now I am exiting for my next cleaning here in 6 months

I had the best cleaning ever here. Normally, I dread the dentist because of my sensitive teeth. I told my hygienist about my concerns and she used settings and tools that made it painless! She was helpful with any questions/gave great education. Highly recommend this office!

Awesome

My tooth started to ache on a Friday and Ala Moana Dental Care got me in at 7pm that night. I had Dr. Kim and he did a root canal and I was out of there just after 8pm. He was great! I especially liked that he would regularly keep my updated and encouraged me by saying things like "We are 75% done" and, "Thanks for being a great patient". I had to drive over an hour to get there but it is so worth it to get great service. Mahalo

I was traveling from Japan, and I needed an emergency treatment on my upper left tooth. I was a bit nervous at the beginning but everyone at the reception desk was so kind and helpful, and Dr. Inoue was very understanding and professional. He carefully explained what options were there for me, and his treatment was gentle and efficient. I would say visiting Ala Moana Dental Care and having been treated by Dr. Inoue was one of the best dental office experiences I have had in my life. Atsuko

Nice

Clean facility, advanced technology, and a great staff.

They are great! I did my root canals when I was in Hawaii in 2018 and then stuck with them ever since for yearly cleanings. I also did deep cleaning with them. Overall, a great experience and I will recommend anyone for a visit.

The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, which made checking in easy. The cleaning was thorough and comfortable — my teeth felt noticeably better afterward. Dr. Allison was the highlight. She's exceptionally knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly without making me feel rushed. She's also just genuinely warm and easy to talk to, which isn't always a given at the dentist!

I’ve only seen Shannon twice (since my previous hygienist at Ala Moana retired) and I’m 100% happy not only with the cleaning, as Shannon got rid of a few stubborn stains, but also with her friendly attitude, sense of humor and helpful suggestions regarding dental care. She definitely doesn’t rush through cleanings! Mahalo Shannon and you’re stuck with me every 6 months 🤭!

Chelsea and the rest of the team made my visit genuinely comfortable. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and caring throughout the entire appointment. Chelsea explained everything clearly, checked in with me, and made sure I felt at ease. The whole staff worked together seamlessly, creating a welcoming environment that made the experience smooth and stress‑free. I truly appreciate their kindness and professionalism it made all the difference.

Ala Moana Dental Care is an efficient factory. They make sure you are in and out in one hour. You seldom see the same people twice. Yesterday, Karen cleaned my teeth - one of the best.
